Method of getting into Nursing School?

Hello,

I was wondering if this method made complete sense. So, I was hoping that I would go to Nassau Community College, take the pre-reqs there, and apply to York College BSN program. Is this possible? Would the credits transfer? And will my college guidance counselor help me out with this stuff?

    Your best bet is to ask the school this information. I took all my pre-requisites at a community college, but I made sure they would transfer to my nursing program before I did so.

    Like she said, ask the school. It's best to make an appointment with York College's admissions/advising/counseling to make sure which classes will transfer from NCC. But if NCC is closer to you, you can always ask them first. Schools can be a pain in the rear when you're trying to ask them specific information, so it's best to make an appointment and speak to someone in person.
