Hello all,
Just wanted to start a page for those of us that will be attending/starting Mesa Community College 2016 Block 1 nursing.
I thought we could share questions, thoughts and helpful hints to make the process somewhat less confusing.
This is primarily for those of us attending Mesa CC Afternoon program 2016. I know all the schools have different criteria, and events and what not so this is not to keep others from sharing all are welcomed but for my own insanity I am trying to get a really good GRASP on what is pertaining to my school and time frame. So if you veterans have guidance, please feel free to share.
Also, if you have a specific topic, in your process make sure and add and "Title" so we can easily reference "Your" discussion.
We may as well start paying attention to detail, because it is going to become a way of life from here on out.
And remember, "every new day is a bonus."
I am waiting till after the orientation to find out just what the heck fire this stuff is...
I am budgeting strictly to what I really need and don't need. Not sure why the heck fire I have to plunk down $57 buck for gloves when I can buy them for a heck of a lot cheaper...
There are some things you need and some you don't really have to have and and the REAL answers are hard to get at times.
I still have books from CNA course that aren't even cracked that I WASTED purchasing.
Live and learn.

True. I'm with you.
The nurse pack is more than gloves. There are skills we will be learning and having the pack, gives up supplies to use and practice. Not just standard gloves but sterile also. If you haven't used a pair of sterile yet, you will understand later
But all else, I'm with you. What I will USE is the most important..
hey everyone,
I just graduated Dec 2015 from the mcc traditional program so it may differ a little bit but i thought i could try to answer some questions. The $700 program (ATI) was required for my group there were assignments that needed to be done for a grade so you had to buy the program, we werent given the chsnce to pay the entire fee at the beginning we payed semester to semester. Get ready for the roller coaster ride! Iggy ( the med surg book) will become your bible, also start practicing NCLEX style testing because it really is completely different than any other tests you have taken before!

It does say purchase by the 14th. So it is your choice if you wanted to purchase it. I'm sure they won't change their mind, but I want to know more of what I'm spending $700 on.
Well.. you can subscribe in the app of picmonics. So once you start using it you will start to see it.
