Merritt College Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello!

Haven't seen a thread yet about Merritt Fall 2014, so I figured I'd start one. Has anyone heard whether they've passed Phases 1&2 of the app process yet?

And for the meantime, if you're like me and didn't know what your chancellor's score was, this site has an excel doc that will calculate it for you :) http://nursing.yccd.edu/chancellors-formula.aspx

Nope. I emailed them and got this response "2014 ADN Application Status UPDATE:Due to the increased volume this year, the ADN applications for fall 2014 are still being evaluated. Status letters will be distributed throughout the month of May.

Any inquiries as to application status will not receive a reply.

Thank you for your patience as we needed this additional time to give each file a thorough and complete evaluation. We apologize for any inconvenience, but decisions are made in all fairness to each applicant.

Again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE DURING THIS PROCESS.

I still haven't heard from them either, other than receiving the same auto response that beckybee94 has posted above.

Let's keep each other updated in case we hear from them :)

ps: where else did you guys apply? Has anyone heard whether the program has gotten better in the past few years? (ie. the drop rate, graduating rates, etc?

I applied to and am still waiting to hear back from Samuel Merritt, and Pierce College in LA (where I live). I applied to and got into SFSU (to my total surprise), so I probably will not be attending Merritt, but I'm still keeping it as an option in case something doesn't work out with SFSU.

In terms of improvement in the program, I haven't heard anything, which leads me to believe that not much has changed, to be honest :/

Hi, Beckybee94. Congrats on getting into SFSU. When do you hear from the other schools?

I'm waiting on Merrit and Ohlone College, so we'll see what happens. Are you leaning more towards the BA at SFSU or do you prefer the shorter route (2-year)?

Thanks! I should be hopefully hearing from them soon. Where is ohlone (I'm not from the area)? I got into the BSN program at sfsu which is 2 years.

Ohlone college is a community college about 40 miles from San Francisco. That's actually my first choice but also on a lottery system so I'm waiting to hear from them too.
