Merit Technical Institute

I was actually surfing the net for LPN degrees, I noticed the school Merit Technical Institute. I have never really heard of it outside of the internet so I was wondering if anyone know if this is a good school or not? Also I noticed the price for the school is 12000; is that too high for a LPN school? :confused:

Hi guys I am thinking about attending this class..I read all the comments but just saw that someone said it's accredited, is this true?? Is there a link that proves thi?:confused:

For anyone thinking about attending this school. DO NOT. You will end up paying a whole lot more than 12,000 dollars for that program. I have personally seen them scam many students by failing them with no cause and having to re-take courses over and over again. They do not have financial aid, you have to pay cash money. Their private loan is really not a loan, you will still have to pay cash money monthly. They are all about dollars. The only way you will make it through that school is if you befriend the administration and suck up. I have a diploma from them but they won't allow me to take my final try at the exit exam. The exact words was that I would have to pay 5000 dollars and retake half the program. what the heck? have you ever heard of that? even college does not make you retake classes that you have already passed. Anyway, I left the universe to deal with them and they can keep my hard earned $20,000 total that I paid for that program. So anyway, I started from scratch in college and I have 6 months left before I can graduate with my B.S in nursing. Better off find another school or do it through college whether it be university or state. They say that they are accredited, but no college will accept their credits.

does anyone from Staten Island attending Merit technical institutue on Spring 2010?

im in flatbush ,where are you in (bk) im going to take the test on Saturday for the spring semester and i drive , i could use the company, i think think its like 45 minutes , are you going in the day what about you

im, supposed to start on tuesday feb 15, 2011 but i needed to takl to someone else about thier expirence at the "interview"

Hey, how was the interview? if you have not done it asa of yet it is nothing to worry about. Make sure you get everything they say in writing so later done you don't have any problems. Is it true that they are telling you guys to buy the 1st set of books?

Hey I do not live in BK I am in Q and I am already attending the school. It doesn't take long once you go through the canal street.
