Hi All,

I hope all is well! I figured I would start this forum because I applied to Mercy University's Fall 2025 weekend accelerated nursing program. Looking forward to sharing ideas and celebrating our acceptance!

Has anyone began the Castle Branch process yet?

If you have old titers you can use them, I used some of the ones I did in 2017 from my job and they accepted them.

Yes I started mine,  I will be using Mercy health office to do my physical and two blood titers I'm missing. For the drug screening, you can make the appointment online on the quest website.

Okay, I also started. 😁

I did the background check, and hopefully will get my blood test done sometime next week. Unfortunately, my doctor's appointment isn't until the 17th. My biggest issue has been getting an appointment with my financial aid counselor though. I've called and emailed 4 times, I've even reached out to [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME/IDENTIFIER] directly and they've told me, she's the one I have to meet with, I have not heard anything from her. I have no choice but to go there.

The same happened to me. I just showed up, and now she emails me back.

I have an appointment with Student Health next week. I'm only missing the booster, and Hep panels. I really didn't want to get the booster, but this is for the career, right?

I got an override for the booster, send an email to [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME](Nursing Program Compliance Coord). she will edit your castle branch requirement so you don't need to take it.

I plan to walk in too, if the lady (M) doesn't respond to my email by the end of this week. It's July by now we should already know what we are getting.

I did titers already! I go in tomorrow for varicella and Hep B 2m. You can opt out of Hep B but I'm just gonna get it so I'm not limited to any clinical sites.

I sent the email to the team, so I'll just forward it to Jane this time. Thanks for that info.

I looked at an old post on blackboard, a lot of the sites seem to require the booster also. Hopefully, that has changed, but I guess we'll see.

Hey I'm confused about the background check is it done online like after I made a separate order for it online it's done? I don't have to do nothing in person in regards to it

Yep! That's why I'm getting it .. When I looked at my preferred clinical sites, they require it

Yes, you don't need to do anything . Just place the order. It shows you that it's complete.

I actually spoke to Jane Ryan minutes ago. She informed me that as long as you uploaded your original two shots, she will cancel the need for the booster, as they no longer offer booster shots to folks who are not elderly.

Send her an email directly after you've uploaded the original COVID card, she's such a nice lady.

Yes, it's done online. Once you complete the order, nothing else has to be done. It's completed online.
