I hope all is well! I figured I would start this forum because I applied to Mercy University's Fall 2025 weekend accelerated nursing program. Looking forward to sharing ideas and celebrating our acceptance!

Unfortunately, I haven't heard a thing either. I was going to see if could register for classes, sometime over the weekend. The last time I received a strange message, so I said I'll wait until after the new deadline date, to try again. It's still very annoying, and nerve racking.

Definitely. I'm trying to plan my Summer accordingly so it doesn't interfere with whenever we have orientation and whatever else.  Hope we hear something within the next couple weeks.

Agreed, they can't keep us waiting like this. I feel that even if things don't get started until later in the Summer, just give everyone a heads up, so we can prepare and enjoy the Summer.

Don't be stingy! What'd they say??

Hey Nurses-to-be!

I had a session with my PACT advisor today, I come bearing gifts (I think LOL). I asked about orientation, finacial aide, and physical/medical clearances.

  1. I was told that a date is not set for orientation yet, but it looks like they are aiming for early/mid August; at that point, we will meet many of the staff members, PACT advisors, financial aide, and receive information about the facilities and services available to us.
  2. In regard to financial aide, we are allowed to make an appointment for a phone call, or go in person (no appointment necessary for in person). I'm not sure if this goes for just the Bronx, or if DF is included (forgot to ask, sorry).
  3. Lastly, I was told that we would have to sign up for a program called [castle branch?], where we will have to log clinical information and abide by a medical/physical checklist (immunizations, drug testing etc).

If I'm not mistaken, the drug test will be done closer to the time of orientation.

Thanks for the information. I wish they had finalized dates for orientation already. Summer is really close and I'd like to know if I had to change my plans. *sigh* LOL. Guess we shall see.
