Mercy School of Nursing Spring Acceptance- Charlotte NC

Published

I am EVER SO IMPATIENTLY waiting on word from Mercy School of Nursing. I applied for Spring semester & Pam Hatley in admissions said that we will hear from them by Sept. 15th. I see that during past semesters, many people received their letter earlier than the deadline. Anyone get their letter yet? I am SO READY to hear, either way that it goes!

I understand your frustration Melissa, but I did see that people on the list as low as 30 or 35 got in to the school last minute. Don't give up hope!!

Hi Melissa825, Yes, I applied last semester and was waitlisted at about 20 something. I moved up about 11 or 12 spots after a few weeks. If my TEAS score had been alittle higher, then I would have gotten in last time. It depends on how competitive that round of applicants are. The next semester may or may not be as competitive, so please don't give up. I know what you mean about not wanting to 'spend the next few months with your fingers crossed' waiting. Mercy is very competitive and being waitlisted is not a bad thing. I know several girls who did not even get waitlisted. How discouraging!

You may want to talk to admissions to see if there's anything you can do to improve your score, as you may be closer than you think. The confirmations and payments are due by Oct 1, so you could call the school after that date, to see if you perhaps moved up the waitlist. Good luck to you!

I have been accepted to Mercy for the Fall and I have a question for current students. For the first semester, what are the times for classes and clinicals like?
