Thanks, you too! I've heard the classes are somewhere around 6-10pm on Tuesday and Thursday and usually one day a week of clinicals (usually Sat/Sun). It sounds like it does vary but they give you advance notice when it does. I am finishing up a&p II right now with only micro left to complete before January. I won't find out whether I have been accepted until around Sept. 15.
Hi DM019. I am a current Mercy student enrolled in the evening/weekend program. Our schedule has been Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6-10pm for lecture. The clinical/lab schedule varies depending on the class. During my first semester, clinicals consisted of one 8-hour day, usually on Saturdays. Labs were sometimes both Saturday and Sunday. We did not have something scheduled every weekend, though. We had clinicals/labs scheduled maybe 75% of the weekends, with the remaining 25% off. The instructors (which are awesome, by the way!) will hand out a schedule on the first day of class. During the second semester, clinicals were 8 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday, generally. The third semester was increased to 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Again, not every weekend will be assigned.
As far the point system goes, I didn't realize they had a point system, so I have no idea how many points I had. I'm sorry I can't be of more help on that subject.
I hope that helps a little bit. Good luck to you!
Hey DM019, I got accepted into the Spring 2014 weekend/evening program. I had 8 points on the scale and i was told that usually if you are between 6 & 7 them you are looking at the wait List.
To lilibug78, i would like to know what your personal experiences have been like. Are the classes quite difficult?

Did either of you commit to Mercy and send in your refund? I just sent mine in. Looks like we could be classmates!

I haven't seen any recent posts on Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Did anyone apply to Mercy for the nights/weekend program beginning in January 2014? I took the TEAS a few weeks ago and submitted my application yesterday. I am going to be on pins and needles until September!
Is anyone currently in this program who can give feedback on the schedule? How many points did you have on the point scale if you were accepted?
Thanks!
