Hi All,
So I breezed through the Kaplan and honestly regrets taking the two weeks off work to study (ended up not studying at all and still passed with a 156). I have now submitted all my documents and am waiting for a call to interview. Is there anyone else applying to the spring term? The administrators there told me they placed me into the night group. I guess we don't get a choice on preference.
Hi CodeBrownQueen,
I would so love to talk perhaps via phone/skype...Perhaps we could find a moment? I know very very very little about the nursing field today though years ago, I really thought that that would be my destiny - back then I was thinking about working for the Native American Health Service.. or as a Community Public Health Nurse...
Now those jobs don't look the same. I will likely look for a great clinic setting.
What are you doing now?
What do you really want to do?
What do you mean when you say "programmatic" vs "real world" ? ?Did you not receive excellent training which prepared you for 'real life' nursing ? jeeezz .. Then what do we do?
And what's up with the new Chancelor...???? I would really like to talk if we can.
I have been looking at Mercy because it is relatively affordable and as my old BS was in biological sciences I have just about ALL the science pre-reqs. And, given I have the sciences, I am hoping that I will be able to work at the same time that I am doing the LPN program... As I can't afford to pay for rent/living costs without working. Did you work during your program?
How much did you pay to be at Mercy? Are there any options for private loans ?
I know 2 guys who have quit LPN work completely in the last 2 years while I've been looking at nursing..... They say the work culture is 'toxic" ?
I am thinking to try to go straight into an NP program where the work environment is hopefully more healthy...fair..professional...positive... ? [Have you heard anything about "lateral viol." in nursing ? ? ]
Can we talk ???? ?❤️❤️ ❤️ Let me know! feel free to send me a number - I'm at [email protected]
