hi, i read that you took the test earlier this year. can you please tell me how was it? if it was administered by kaplan or ati? I'm studying right now with the nln lpn review guide. the book that is recommended by mercy?

Hey Ashley, I'm currently studying for this test as well. I'm taking it tomorrow morning for the second time, because the first time I was short 8 points from their passes score. I also have the book this time around, which I wasn't able to get a hold of the first time; therefore I'm thinking that I should manage to make those 8 points without a problem. I'm nervous too. I don't get another chance to take the test if I don't pass tomorrow, so I'm crossing all fingers, toes, hands, and feet! lol

I'm going tomorrow morning as well. I'm super nervous i read somewhere here on the website from someone that took the test at mercy and studied with this book that questions from the book came up on the test and it was very similar but i want more assurance lol. i am crossing all fingers toes, hands and feet along with you! good luck!!

I've read in some posts that the book helps alot, and I've read in other posts that it only covers the basic. I took the test and can tell you one thing, it has a lot of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. You need to know your elements, atoms, protons/electrons, electrical charges, currents, what's a joule watt ampere etc, light waves, the basics about plants, what are the formulas in physics, the different reactions, cellular respiration, and some Anatomy & Physiology like the blood, respiratory system, different organ systems and their functions, etc. I'm sorry for the mess of information, it's just that I'm typing as I remember. They have 2 different exams if I'm not mistaken, therefore in one all of this could be covered, and in the other it could be completely different, but my own experience is all I can base myself on. I missed it by 8 points the first time, THIS TIME I HAVE TO PASS lol.

yes i do. and that helped a lot but threw me off as well like a lot of the science part isn't part of the book or maybe it is and I'm just so nervous I'm not realizing it. my Facebook is Ashley Febre.

If you have the book, all of that is covered in the Science section. It also has 3 exams for you to take of 60 questions each. Also, the CD that is included with the book has all the questions from all the sections for you to quiz yourself as well. I'm just worried about them covering other stuff that's not on there. I'm just really nervous, and I need to chill out because that was the main issue last time. I need to go in knowing that I'm going to pass this test. I'll be there at 7am tomorrow. Last time I got there late because of my son and traffic, and that also held me back from passing because I had about 15 questions to answer from the first section, that I was unable to answer correctly. Word of advice, get there early lol.

Btw, I looked you up but noticed that there are a few other Ashley Febre on there lol. What does your default picture look like, or look me up.. Jae Rock (I have a hello kitty wearing a heat jersey as my picture lol.)

Just wanted to mention that I passed my test!!!!! And have completed all the requirements for admission. Crossing my fingers that I get picked to start now in August! I'm ecstatic :))) lol.

Hello mzjaerock, hopefully you are able to read this soon. just wanted to know what happened at FNU? I had been reading through the few posts for this school and saw you were in the 2013 class but now I saw you at Mercy Hospital. I'm between both schools for nursing but FNU y much closer to my house and I wouldn't have to do the LPN to do the Associates. Can you please give me some advice? and let me know why you didn't finish with them?
