MERCY ABSN Spring 2021

Hi,

I plan on applying for the Spring 2021 ABSN program at Mercy College in the BRONX, NY. I'm sure there are many students looking for advice and support from other potential students as well. Feel free to leave any helpful tips, comments and the struggles that you may come across while applying.

By the way, I just added a security question in order to join the group! (Just to keep it within people who were accepted). 

If you requested to join before I added the question, you may need to request to join again so that it prompts the security question ?

Hi guys. 

I got the acceptance email today! I didn't get a call from Paul, but def received emails (including links for the RSVP and deposit). Can't wait to meet you guys.

For reference, I submitted the apps on 09/30/20 and sent all the docs on 10/5/20 (which is why I was actually surprised to receive the results so soon). My GPA was 3.38. A&P1 retake grade A-, A&P2 retake grade B, Microbio C+, Psych A+, Nutrition A+. I have lots of volunteer experience/hour at hospital and nursing home. Currently working at doctor's office as assistant. Hope this can help those who are still waiting (it is so hard to blindly wait ? ). Wish all to get good results! Like BS18 said, stay positive ?

For everyone that’s been accepted did you guys submit your official transcripts when you applied or just uploaded unofficial ones?

I did the unofficial at first and then ------------------------- said I had to submit the official in order to be considered. It was super easy I did it electronically and they got it the same day.

Oh OK! When you submit them electronically do you submit to the admissions office in Dobbs Ferry? Whenever I search Mercy College it won’t show the Bronx campus

Yes it won't show the Bronx campus because Dobbs Ferry is the main one. But they'll get it since its going to the admissions office. I had the same worry when I was submitting it.

Hey guys! I also got an acceptance email yesterday for the Spring 2021 cohort at Bronx campus! The facebook page is a great idea to get to know each other before entry to the program.
