I had my nurse interview today and I signed some more papers. I am very excited to finally make some progress, however, I still need to go to MEPS. I sent a doctors note and lab results to them about my hypothyroid and my recruiter said they need more information. I don't know if I ever make it to MEPS. It seems like they make it very hard to qualify. I am a little bit discouraged right now, I hope I still have a chance to join. I don't mind waiting, I just want to make sure that I can get a waiver if I need one. Anyway, I am just venting......

COT is fully staffed. It's the number of applicants, not the staffing, that's driving the classes. They try to keep the classes down to a certain size - and because of the increase in applications they're finding that harder and harder to do.

I know this because of conversations we had with the instructors at the O-club at the end of COT and at the dining out.

Interesting, I was told they have more instructors during the summer as they use Reservists to staff it and are able to have bigger class sizes.

Hi all! I separated from the Air Force and came back in. I needed a waiver for hearing for my job. I was seen at an Army MEPS and they said I was not qualified because of the hearing. I contacted the functional manager for the career field by phone and pled my case. I had the waiver signed and was back in the service within 1 month. The whoel process took 9 months. Best of luck! One piece of advice for military service; take your career in to your own hands-never accept "no" for an answer. Look it up yourself in their regulations (AF Epubs website)Michelle
