Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island Nurse Anesthesia School Application for school year 2017

Published

Is anyone applying to MHRI CRNA school in RI to start next year (2017)? For all the current students and alumni, any insights and advices? Please feel free to post your messages. 😀

I also applied and waiting as well. Getting anxious.

Hi CNW44 and frappe :) im guessing we should get a letter of invitation to interview 2 to 3 weeks from now if we are selected. Im not sure. But if thats the case, it shouldnt be that long of a wait. :)

It's really hard to find any info about how many people apply. Even when I try to call and ask questions, It goes through to voicemail. I'm assuming we just have to wait patiently. Have you heard from anybody who went through the program? what were their gpa, years of experience, if they had taken GRE and CCRN?

Hey libvermont.

the program is so small making it hard to get a hold of anyone knowledgeable about the school. I dont really know anyone. And thats right, all we can do is wait. I think it might hurt if we keep emailing or calling them at this point. Im pretty sure they are now in the process of scrutinizing applications. I should say 2 weeks from now probably we might hear from them. Lets just claim were getting in! :) coz we are!

Is everyone here mostly from east coast? Im curious how diversed the applicants are :)

I actually live in New York so I'm like 3 hours away from Rhode Island

Like my profile name suggests, I am from Burlington, Vermont.

I admire you attitude EastCoastin. That's right we are getting in.

I applied to this school and although I would love to attend, the odds aren't in my favor. I had a colleague who was invited to interview two years ago. He said they accepted even fewer than 9 students when he interviewed, and that is was mostly personality questions w/ a few clinical questions. He said that they interview way too many people for the amount of seats available and that they basically said he didn't have enough experience. Apparently they are partial to candidates with 5+ years of experience. I applied anyway because the program is so incredibly affordable. GL everyone.

Last year they received 180 applications

Im from california jujubear and libvermont and looking forward to go east coast for school - thus eastcoastin :)

Thats a lot frappe. Im not surprised though

thanks crnaplease for the input. We shall see how it goes. Maybe the good bunch of srna they're looking for are all here :)
