Hello all!! My family and I are planning a relocation to Houston in July. I have been offered a postion in the ICU at Memorial Hermann Northeast in Humble. I just was hoping I could get some first hand opinions on this hospital and the area in general. I have 4 kids so I am hoping that this is a good place to raise a young family. I did go down to visit and the area seemed really nice, but any words of advice from you would be fantastic!!!

I live in that area but don't work at that hospital. There are a ton of housing option and good schools around there. Try Atascocita. I love it there and it's growing fast!

I am in the Northeast ER most every other saturday, and did student time in the ICU. I like the hospital and the staff.
I live a bit west of the area, but there are several nice neighborhoods in the humble area. I would suggest that you check the schools that the students in prospective neighborhoods go to and then drop by the schools. There can be a huge difference in quality of schools in that area.
Thanks to you both. I have been doing alot of online research as it is a long ways from where I live now...unfortunately I cannot just drop in, man I wish I could. I have been looking at all the schools, the ratings etc. We looked in Humble, Kingwood, Atascosita. Then we also looked west to The Woodlands. Man I wish I lived a little closer that would make this easier. Thanks for the input!!

I would suggest either Kingwood or Atascocita, I have a friend with a daughter in Humble High and she hates it and I have a daughter in middle school in Spring and I would not recommend Spring becuase of what I have heard about Spring High. I hope to be outta here before she starts high school. I even graduated from Spring myself and don't want her there. The Woodlands has pretty good school and I would think Kingwood and Atascocita would too but I am not sure about them. Hope this helps!
