Memorial Hermann gn residency summer 2018

Hi all!

Making a thread for the Memorial Hermann GN Residency Program starting in summer 2018.

Anyone going to the open house/ pre-match day soon on February 17??

So I got the call for the phone screening. She just asked a few basic questions, then she asked if I am enrolled in a BSN program. I told her that I have applied, but it is pending for this semester's transcripts. She then stated that the SW campus is trying to get magnet status so they can only have a certain number of ADNs on staff unless enrolled in a BSN program, but she'll submit that I have applied to one and call back to let me know if the site coordinator will OK it. *facepalm*

That sucks. Have you applied to any other residencies or just any other jobs in general? Also, what areas did you put down that you were interested in?

Oh no. I'm sorry! So maybe Southeast is finally making calls? I wonder if it is for all units. Did they give a reason?

Has anyone heard from Children's?? :(

I just went through the same thing. really hoping the coordinator okays it!! I start the BSN program in July... so I'm really on edge!!! fingers crossed!!

I hope so too, for both of our sakes! I hope she calls back today or tomorrow. Going forward, I think this info should be listed under each branch's information with the specialties.

I was at work when she called, so I missed talking with her today. I still have some pre-reqs before I can enroll in a BSN program, so this sucks. I've been graduated since December.

I got a call back this morning. I got the green light from SW to continue with my interview since I'm on track to start a BSN program this fall. So excited!! Completing the assessments now. Hopefully you get the same news!
