  1. The first semester was class Monday-Thursday. Class usually started at 0830 and varied for how long the days were. Clinical was four days in the last month of the semester at a long-term care facility. The rest of the semesters were class Monday and Wednesdays, with a hospital clinical on any of the other days, depending on your facility and clinical group. There were also occasional simulation days mixed in, which were detailed in the syllabus. ACC does break for the summer. That's the best time to mentally recover! Several of my classmates took the CNA exam after our first semester and worked in the hospitals as techs. I pre-studied for NCLEX on the second summer break.
  2. Yes, that's true. I believe my class (began January 2016) had over 400 applicants and we started with 36 students. Don't give up, though!!
  3. Alvin Community College is in the Houston area--one of the most respected ADN programs in the Houston healthcare community!
  4. I believe they're contacting people today. I just got my rejection email.
  5. I applied for Women's Services or whatever is available!
  6. Still waiting to hear from Pearland....anyone else?
  7. Southeast and Pearland are the only ones who will hire ADNs.
  8. I am not going to the pre-match day event, as I'm not eligible to be hired for TMC since I'm an ADN.
  9. Looks like I won't be getting a job at St. Luke's, as I never heard anything beyond answering the questions. Congratulations to all who received a job offer!
  10. Has anyone heard anything since the email back in February?
  11. I was at work when she called, so I missed talking with her today. I still have some pre-reqs before I can enroll in a BSN program, so this sucks. I've been graduated since December.
  12. Labor and Delivery and OB Special Care at SW.
  13. I also am an ADN and received a match day invite from Southwest. Southeast was my second choice and I haven't heard anything from them.
  14. I heard from a classmate who worked at MH during nursing school that they call us the week before Match Day. I'm hoping to hear something today or tomorrow!
