About xojamieox

xojamieox has 1 years experience and specializes in Telemetry.

Nursing is my passion, it is something that I always wanted to do! I currently work on a Telemetry unit and love the fast pace. I am working on my BSN, but my long term goal is NP, not sure if I want to specialize or just do family practice. I'm still not sure if Telemetry is my "place" in the nursing world, but I love it for now!

  9. To Study or Not to Study???

SO...I take my NCLEX tomorrow. I have been religiously doing Kaplan since I graduated on 7/11 and the LaCharity PDA book for the past 2 weeks. I feel like I should be doing something to prepare for the test tomorrow, but I have read so many commen...
  10. Facts about NCLEX results

THANK-YOU so much for this post. I take my nclex tomorrow and needed this to calm me down just a little bit. 85% passed on first try makes me feel a little better and the SATA not being high level/passing helps too! My school prepared us from day ...
  11. Kaplan Videos

I am currently using Kaplan to prepare also. It was part of our last semester for school, so we were required to use it. I watched the videos and followed along in the book also. In most of the videos, there is a slide that shows "Need to Know" in...
  12. Love working in an area that needs nurses

I am a new grad and have a job waiting for me for when I pass the nclex. It's on the floor I precepted in during my last semester and my interview pretty much went the same! They hired 6 from my class, just for our floor and I know of 5 others that ...
  13. nursing & tattoos

We do not hide our tattoos during interviews because WE see them as unprofessional, but because the people interviewing us see them that way and judge us accordingly. Just because I have a half sleeve on one arm, a wrist tattoo on the other, two fi...
  14. I am curious about the answer too, I just started taking phetermine 3 days ago and had 2 interviews (hoping an offer follows!). I have searched extensively on the internet and some sites say it shows up as false positive for amphetamines and others ...
