  3. New LPN and no jobs available.

Your very welcome. I think LPN's are there to help me and they should be treated just as equally as the RN's. I dont care if you cant do initial assesments. Heck its not a problem for me I usually do the initial assesments and then just hand them bac...
  4. Amen! I think that is terrible. I used to be an LPN and to tell you the truth I wished I still was. Actually I still am at heart. I would never look down on an LPN,CNA,RN-ADN,RN-Diploma.
  5. Brandy, LPN's in MO can start IV's They just have to get an extra certification for it by going to another class after they graduate from LPN school. Dont ask why its retarded I dont know. But I do know about this because I started with my LPN in MO.

  12. Cynical? Realistic? or both?

Yes were cynical, I tell you what I have worked er since I was an LPN. I have worked in the same er since then and I will probabley always work in the er at the same place. Our ER is a level one trauma center. I cant seem to help the real emergencies...
  13. LPNs in the ER please respond

Some hospitals still hire LPN's in the er. And then some hospitals dont hire lpns at all. Mine still hires LPN's for every specialty. So you have a good chance of getting hired especially if you go to a big city trauma center that really needs nurses...
