I just know that the application for new grads opened up. I heard they were hiring like 50 nurses.
You should consider the fact that some hospitals will not hire beyond their area code, specially in the central valley. DMC has a Versant new grad program, but they only hire local because people tend to get their experience and then leave. You can't blame them for that.
I got accepted into BSN at CSU Stanislaus. I am waiting for the package about the mandatory orientation which takes place on Aug. Is there anyone out there who got accepted into BSN last year? If yes, how do you feel about the program?
All reponses would be much appreciated,
I'm totally cool with being asked questions
I'm not sure how many applied in Spring, but the number tends to be lower than the fall so your chances of getting in are higher. Many students actually decline because of either being from out of state or because they got in at a 2 year program. The alternates are chosen like the accepted ones best overall score and they just go down the list as people decline. Don't give up because 25th on the waitlist got in, I have heard them getting up to the 30's sometimes.
I am currently a first semester nursing student at CSU Stanislaus and so far it is a really good program; I'm actually blogging about it.
