Jubees- I am not sure how old you are or where you went to school but Hillsborough County Schools keep a record of your shot. You just have to contact them with a request and they will send one to you.
See you all in June!!
Congrats!! How exciting!! Mrs. Labarbera sent me an email last month saying not to worry there should be plenty of room for me in the June class. I was accepted in March but had to decline. Hopefully something comes soon!! I would like to know for work aswell. Congrats again!!
Hey guys I just copied this from the Eriwn website:
There has been a delay in the acceptance letters for the candidates for the June 2011 LPN class. They will receive their acceptance letters the week of April 11, 2011.
Sometime this week we should hear from them!! Good Luck!!
Oh wow! I'm so glad I got on here to search for Erwin students. I have been trying to get ahold of Mrs. Labarbera all week. I just read the post -she's retired-! No wonder she is not responding. She told me last month we would recieve our acceptance letters by April 8th, so I was getting wrorried. This Blog is reassuring knowing none of you have recieved anything yet either. This is a little frustrating I must say! Hopefully we will all be in class together!!
Does anyone know anything about South University in Tampa, FL? I have heard they are pretty expensive and passing rates not so good. If you know anything about them please share... Thank You!
Thank you for your help. I am suprised someone replied. I have an Associate in Liberal Arts from HCC but I have been denied to their RN program. They have about 100 seats to 700 applicants so it's pretty tuff. Unfortunately I do not have straight A's. I have not talked to SPC about their program only reading their website. Do you know much about their RN program, instead of LPN to RN? Does it work the same way? Do you suggest trying the route?
Arg... I'm kinda frustrated.. I know I can do it, it's just a matter of getting in somewhere. If I do choose to go LPN to RN at SPC I sure hope they are doing it the sameway - first come first serve. It wouldn't be until sometime in 2012. I will start the LPN program in the start of 2011. (12mths)
I am sad to hear they are so disorganized. I was told by someone they were a good Nursing School. I have looked into Galen. They seem like a good school but expensive. The cost is about the same as going to a University. I sure hope things get better for you all.. I can only imagine how frustrating that would be! You seem to have a good head on your shoulders so I am sure you will make it! Hopefully she did listen and will make a change!
So I realize that this post is from about a year ago but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I am signed up to start the LPN program at Erwin next year. My ultimate goal is to become an RN. I hope all of you got into the SPC program and are well on your way! I was wondering how you felt about the program at SPC? Do you reccomend?
I was told they give preference to Pinellas County Residents but you guys all live in Tampa it seems. That is the case for me too, so is this true? Also where so they do their clinicals at? I know it's a long shot since this is an old post but Thank You ahead of time for your help!
Thank you for your help! It is nice to hear from actual students to find out their opinion vrs talking to the school. I was wondering where Galen does their clinicals at?
I know that a good investment is one for your education.. I am just a little hesitant about Galen because of the cost. However I have definitely not ruled it out!!
Congrats it sounds like you are all doing very well. I was wondering for you Galen and/or Erwin students - where do you do your clinicals at? Thank you for your help!!
Congrats on passing the TEAS test and getting in! I am signed up to take it. Did you find it difficult? I dont know why I am so nervous but I am. Any advice about the test?
Congrats on graduating! I am waiting to take the TEAS test. I am signed up to take it in August. I hope I can make a good grade and get in. I was kind of hestitant to go the LPN route b/c it will take another year but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I want to be a nurse by all means possible. Do you have any advice for the TEAS test? I am nervous!
Hello, I am interested in learning more about Galen. I have read horrible reviews online about this school. However I know that it can be hear say. I would like to know of anyones thoughts and/or experiences with this school. Everything is helpful! Thank You!
Yes it helps. I have heard Galen is a good school. I do agree it is not a waste if you are investing in your future.Good Luck and Thank you for your help!
Hello to all,
I am currently a HCC student who has applied to the Nursing program and have been denied. I am thinking about getting my LPN license and possibly a transition program after that. When I started college I did not do so well my first couple of semesters (young and stupid). Unfortunately, I was taking science classes at the time. This has not helped my "pre-rec" gpa.
Does anyone have any advise as to where the best LPN program is in Tampa, FL? or If getting my LPN license is even a good idea?
All help is greatly appreciated!
