I've been a nurse for about 5 yrs and am looking for a change. I have a family who will be moving with me. I don't know what my first step would be. Who are the best traveling agencies? Is it worth it to become a traveling nurse to feel out different parts of the country or is it better just to move and seek a permanent position somewhere? Again, I have a husband and 2 children (12, 4) so it's just not me. I'm looking for any advice. Where I am right now is not where I want to be, want to see what else it out there! Thanks!
I'm new to the ICU and was wondering which book you would recommend to have as a reference? All suggestions appreciated!
Hi Everyone, I currently work at St. John Hospital and in the future would like to apply to a CRNA program. Do you think I should stay at St. Johns and work in their SICU or should I apply at another SICU in a level one trauma like Detroit Recieving or Henry Ford? Do CRNA schools really look at if you worked at a Level 1 or no? Thanks for your help
After reading everyone's threads for months I decided to join. I am currently a nurse, working on a cardiac step-down unit. My goal in life is to become a CRNA. I am currently going to school for my BSN and should be done in about 2 years. Here's my question: Should I transfer to the SICU now (which will be FT midnights) or should I stay on the cardiac step-down unit where I work part-time days in order to finish my BSN quicker, then transfer to the SICU? Please help. I need suggestions!
