   In 5 years, I plan to be working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (I'm currently working on my Master's then plan to get my DNP) in some type of clinic or doctor's office. I can't wait to be out of the hospital and off of night shift!

   Why didn't the nurse say anything to you and instead waited until your instructor came to mention it? That's the least he/she could have done. If it was me, I would have said to the student, hey why don't you take a short break to get some coffee.
