I am personally working on becoming ACLS certified. My hospital does not make it mandatory, but should since we are high risk and have our own PACU. I think it is a wise investment.
I've been and OB nurse for the last 6 years with an ADN license and high risk facility. However, many of my coworkers have BSN, but we make the same pay. With the nursing shortage, hospitals must take what they can get. Go for it!!
