   Hasn't anyone ever tried Dansko's? I never heard of them before moving to A2, but they're great! I also dig my crocs, but they're not exactly biomedically sound-I have several pair of blood/betadine stained socks!

   I work in a 68 bed ER, we staff around 28 nurses and our ratio is 4:1 (with a paramedic per nurse) It was agreed upon in the workload meeting instead of our old standard of 7:1--pretty high acuity pts. Job before that was med-surg 9:1 primary care ...

   LOL... I love it. I needed that after a long night of taking care of the ETOH'rs. It reminds me just how far I've come--to the student nurses, just never forget where you came from--techs are VERY valuable people and excellent resources.
