I know that nursing requirements differ from state to states , do American nurses in their training get peads training that concentrate solely on the sick child only eg hospital! When qualified do they have to do extra to be a children's nurse over there? I don't want to be a children's nurse but it's where my deficiency will Be and just want to know what other nurses who have been accepted to ATT for nclex got in with . Any help with this would be greatly appreciated .

US nurses train as generalists and I am sure that their training will include nursing sick children
This may give you an idea on what may be covered or how the nursing programs are run http://www.umass.edu/nursing/sites/nursing/files/Ugrad%20Program%20Trad%20Track%20Brochure%20%20012414.pdf
Thank you :)
