I got my bachelor's in bio in 2008 and am now applying to direct-entry MSN programs. Through connections I recently gained an opportunity to meet the dean of one of the nursing schools I'm applying to! The appointment is in a few weeks. It's not an "official" interview, although I assume I should treat it like one, as this could be my one shot in gaining an edge in my application. Any advice on how I can prepare / what I should ask the dean, etc. in order to make this meeting beneficial to my candidacy? What do you think she will ask me? Should I bring anything (even though I'll submit my transcript, resume, etc. with my official application)? Thanks everyone.

This is your opportunity to SELL yourself to the dean. You might plan on bringing all your supporting documents (transcript, letters of recommendation,.....) just in case.
I would think that during the meeting, you would want to make an impression. Explain why you want to attend that nursing school, and why nursing is right for you. Ask what else you might do to improve your chances of admission to the program.
Don't forget to follow up with a thank you letter.
Good luck!
Great points, CrufflerJJ. Thanks!
You're quite welcome!
