Hello everyone,
I had a quick question for everyone. My facility recently changed from the regular green chux pad to the Medline Extrasorb Chux pad. It is said to hold up to 1,000cc and lift up to 350lbs. I was wondering if other facilities are using this new underpad and what feedback they had on it. I really like it, but some units are having difficulty adapting to this new pad. (I suspect that the unpopularity of the product is because diaper use was eliminated.) I was wondering what other facilities are doing and anyone had any recommendations. Our goal is to minimize Hospital Acquired Pressure Injuries, but many units are saying that the pad is not good for liquid stool etc... please advise, or recommend what other facilities are doing particularly if your facility uses the same Medline extrasorb product. Thanks
