Medical Volunteer @ a Marathon

Given the recent tragic events at the Boston Marathon yesterday, I have been motivated to volunteer as a medical personnel at upcoming marathons near me. Has anyone done this? Please share your experience, thank you!

Another update: it was awesome! Cant wait to do another marathon volunteering gig, and NYC will likely be a yearly tradition, that is of course unless I should choose to run instead.

I am curious of how this expirence was. It is last minute but does look like they are still looking for volunteers for this years marathon. I am an RN, but do not have any hospital expirnece, I have been working in a medical office. I have read other posts where the nurses were starting IVs and I dont have that skill. Just trying to see if I would be able to do this volunteer exprience. Thanks
