Hope these help you. If you haven't already figured it out, after learning how suffixes, prefixes and word roots fit together you are left with memorizing the various suffixes, prefixes and word roots. That is best accomplished using flash cards which you can make on your computer or with 3x5 cards. (For anyone who wants to know how I create cheap flash cards on my computer, send me a PM and I'll send you the instructions.) If you have a copy of a medical dictionary, they often have a small appendix of medical terminology, so check that out.

If you are having trouble learning the anatomy part, the best thing you can do is xerox the diagrams in your textbooks, white out the labels of the different parts and then make copies of those so you have anatomy pictures with blank labels that you can practice labeling over and over again. Also, anything that requires learning a list can be put onto a flash card so you can go over it again and again.

Remember, memorizing requires that you go over, and over, and over, and over. . .the cards. Understand? This is best done in frequent, short sessions. This is really the only way you can learn this subject. You cannot learn medical terminology the night before the test.

Good luck.
