I'm looking for a medical spell checker software that would integrate with Microsoft Word. Anyone have any success?

Even better would be software that not only spell checks medical words but would offer option that would let you have it also define the term.

Free would be best.

Thanks

Bo

I googled "medical dictionary software free" and and got more than 6 million sites.

Specializes in being a Credible Source.

The very easy thing regarding the spell checker is to set up a .DIC file for Word. Word will then not flag the words in the .DIC file and will offer them up as possible replacements for words that are misspelled.

Of course, it doesn't provide definitions.

It is, obviously, free.

I have several .DIC files that I've assembled just as I describe and there are several on the 'net (e.g. lexismed, MTHMedSpel, OpenMedSpel).

I googled "medical dictionary software free" and and got more than 6 million sites.

Have you used any that you would recommend?
