Good afternoon to all once again, now that I have received my acceptance letter, I am curious to know the first book that is needed during the first semester. Yes I looked on the site underneath courses and the LPN courses are mixed in with the RN. However, I do know that the first course is supposedly nursing fundamentals. Does anyone have a book list that they can refer me to? Or should I contact the nursing department to find out this information.

I would contact your department. Some programs books may be similar, or even the same. Who really knows. I have my book list, but we can not get our books yet (from the school bookstore anyway) However, I did buy a dosage calculation book from amazon to go ahead and practice those, because I am terrified of the math.
I went today and they were closed. However, I will be in contact with them on Monday. Thanks for your response and best wishes to you and your journey on becoming a nurse. :)

Hello, I'm currently in the program and would like to offer congrats on getting accepted. I don't know if they changed the textbook but when I took fundamentals last year we used "Fundamentals of Nursing - The art and science of nursing care 7e" by Taylor Lillis. You can find a pdf of the book online on torrent sites or buy it used from ebay.
In regards with preparing for the up coming semester, if you are indeed using that textbook then you should try and read as much as possible before the semester starts. I think the first exam was on the first 20 chapters or so. I would also recommend that you read the pharmacology book because it's important. Even though you won't see many during your first semester it's still important to start learning pharmacology as early as you can.
Thank you so much. I wished they included this info within the packet so those who want to prepare early can do so.
