Medgar Evers College NLN 2017

Hi,

I'm hoping to maybe speak to anyone attending MEC and applying to the rn program. I just took the NLN and my score was a 121, I know it isn't great but what are my odds? This waiting game is killing me!!! Also if anyone has any info on how many students apply versus how many seats there are that would help too, the school is ok but they refuse to give any direct answers, all i get is do your best, its competitive. Anyway with any info please share. Thank you, and good luck

lolzz, i don't know i was just asking since supposedly they sent out letters of some sort last week

I know lol..I'm referring to them saying 2 weeks..a month ago lol

According to the dept, "some letters were mailed out today, some will be sent tomorrow, and the rest will be sent Friday. All letters will be mailed by the end of this week." ...That is the most recent update I received (5 mins ago). Fingers crossed they are actually on the way now.

I was one of the top 90 reviewed by the committee but in the end I wasn't selected. It feels just as bad as it sounds, there are only 45 seats so I wish you all the best of luck and offer my most sincere congratulations to those of you that made it!

I am so sorry to hear that. There is something bitter sweet about making it so close...Top 90. Dont get discouraged. All the past students I've spoken too said the hardest part is getting in. I know you will find your way. I cant believe there are only 45 seats. I still haven't heard anything as of yet.

Feel like I'm the only one still waiting ... my tuition bill gets here in 2 days when they need that :/ ..hopefully my address isn't messed up or something

I'm sure everything is alright - they're just torturing you for giggles. Lol That's good news for you every one that didn't make it already got their letters. i checked with the nursng department a day ago and was told that my name is on the list of acceptance and it will be mailed out soon as they get the ago head to do so. I think that another process of interviewing will be next. This is so full of anxiety and frustration. makes me think that they wait until ppl may move on and go private or something else. the wait is too much!!!!!!

Thells were you officially accepted or is that contingent on the interview? I am still waiting for a letter. I am beyond anxious!!
