Just curious, I saw in the news about the Coast guards medevac going to Bahamas. So my question is, I know they don't have nurses in there branch but don't they need flight nurses or ccatt nurses for there medevac? Thanks for answering my curiosity

I believe the USPHS gets detailed to the Coast Guard, but I am not sure if USPHS personnel do MEDEVAC activities. But rescue swimmers are typically aboard Coast Guard helos, and they have medical training - some to the EMT-intermediate level.
