Med/Surg to Peds??

Long story short, I’ve been in adult med surg for about 8 months now and feel so drained. I originally wanted to do peds but couldn’t get a job so started in med/Surg instead. IDK if it’s nursing that’s not for me or med/surg that’s not for me. I’ve been looking at recent openings for our children’s hospital. Any opinions on peds hem/onc or just peds in general? Hem/Onc has kinda been interesting me lately but I’m open to hearing about all experiences! Thanks!

Hi! So, I never did med/surg, or adult nursing at all. If med/surg is not for you, pursue your passions! I come from pediatric long term care and a general peds med/surg floor and have loved both positions very much. What questions do you have about pediatrics?
