Meanmaryjean, maybe you know the answer to this, regarding paper grading

When you submit a paper and it's returned to you for corrections...when you resubmit, does the same person grade it, or is it just whoever is available next?

I submitted my capstone proposal and it failed miserably. Spoke to my mentor and the capstone mentor, got some great advice, made some changes (not significant, but added some details and things) and thought "there is no way this is going to be accepted" based on how BADLY I failed the first time.

It was graded the same day, accepted, and I got rave comments that time. So I'm thinking there HAD to be a different person grading it! I didn't think I changed THAT much on the paper to get such a 180-degree change from the same person.

All the papers go into the same queue. It is totally random who the next evaluator is. When I worked as an evaluator, I would occasionally - by chance -grade a revision of something I had previously seen. But the process is set up to be random.

Congrats on passing capstone!
