Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks.
Guys for books you can either a) write to these veteran nursing school students who have great deals on used books or B) Rent them online (Amazon, etc...). I rented 3 out of the 4 books for a wopping total of 54 dollars. They're due back at the end of December. The last book, Medical Calculations, I'm going to go ahead and rent the Ebook version (PDF style) of it for 17.99-19.99. Great deal and it saves you mucho dinero, only catch is you'll have to return them... I'm sure there's a way you can have the info in the books stored somewhere .. Anyways, goodluck and I start my first class tomorrow!!! Wooohoo
Hello everyone. Congrats on everyone entering the nursing program and i hope you guys kicking butt in the program. I have a question for the people currently in the MDC program. Are you allowed to use your laptop or tablet in class? What device would you suggest to use, i am looking into a Surface Pro or Surface Book.
Hello! i'll be taking my last prerequisite spring 2018 - which will be micro only. Last day of class will be may 4th but deadline to register to start the program for august will be may 1st?! Can i still apply by may 1st ? By the time they get to my application my grade should be in already. would this be possible - one advisor told me i could but other advisors have denied.
I would go talk in the medical campus. Sometimes they don't have enough students and they end up extending the deadline a couple of weeks
Hi Dportal2006,
Are you past the second semester? If so would you please advise me on whether to take med surge and pharmacology in the same day? Or separate? Together is almost 6 hours with an hour break in between.
Thanks,
Broham

The white is mandatory for clinical's only. I have never seen them enforce leather like or mesh. Just beware, if you get bodily fluids on your shoes (Which you will for sure) then mesh will take it home with you.
