MDC Nursing Fall 2017

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks. :laugh:

Highly unlikely to pass.

The bill regarding these budget cuts was signed by the governor on June 2, 2017. $232 million awarded to universities in the State of Florida and $24.7 million cut from the total colleges funding. These funding cuts effect areas related to tutoring, counseling services, remedial and developmental courses at MDC. Advisement is part of counseling services. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the reasons why open registration was moved to May 15th this year, which was much earlier than usual.

Ok, the wait continues. We'll find out if acceptance letters actually get sent out this week or pushed back another week.

Lol I was the exact same position as all you guys a few months ago. Halfway through my second semester at the moment. Don't stress out the grand majority of you guys are going to get in. Acceptance in this program is really not that hard looking at it in hindsight.

Word of advice guys...when orientation comes around they are going to push you guys to buy all your uniforms from the bookstore. You can do that buy always keep in mind you can find them at other uniform stores much cheaper. They are going to tell you it is not allowed but it is total BS. Most of the teachers don't care. Also they are going to tell you to buy a lab bag that costs around $100. Be careful you specify that it is the one you need for nursing program because last semester they sold some bags with the wrong stuff and those people ended up buying the bags for nothing. School ended up giving the supplies they needed for testing but it was annoying.

The 11th is for generic full time for medical campus. Those who attend homestead campus will have to wait until the 24th for orientation..
