MCPHS Fall 2013

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

This might be a bit premature, but I was just wondering if there was anyone out there who had already applied to MCPHS Worcester for the Fall of 2013. I have applied, and I am nervously awaiting my recommendations to be sent in, so a decision can be made.

This might pertain to people in previous MCP classes as well, but I was wondering how long after all of my application materials are received, will it take for a decision to be made. I guess I'm just a little nervous and I am a little impatient, but I'm praying I get in.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from all of you!

PequenopatoRN,

Thank you so much for all the information already given, you have been SO helpful!

Since you have been through all the financing, how easy was it to find student loans? Would you recommend one lender over another? This is my first time applying for loans outside of FAFSA and I have no idea where to turn.

Thank you!

I went through sallie mae for all my loans. If you can get a co-signer, it drastically reduces the interest on your loan. There are other places to go through. Apply for FAFSA still, you can get government loans and their interest isn't bad, better than most places. You can look into banks too but their interest may be higher.

I am also from Oregon and is currently looking into MCPHS but is debating between which campus I want to apply for.

Hey guys,

Congrats to those who have received acceptance letters from MCPHS nursing program! I just graduated from the Worcester campus' accelerated nursing program this past May. @lizbee227, in regards to the qualifying gpa, I think that they do a great job on trying to pick individuals who are very well rounded (past healthcare experience/volunteering/extra-curricular/life experiences). Feel free to message me with any other questions! :)
