Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone plans on applying for the Fall 2015 ADN program at MCC in Waco?

yeah I don't think it's in the study guide.

It's really basic though the questions look like this:

A patient with a severe headache, a patient with history of heart attacks complaining of chest pain, a patient who wants their channel changed.

which one do you attend to first?

It's basically common sense.

I know you'll do well, when are you taking your HESI?

Ah, yeah I heard its kind of rough getting into that program too. I applied there for a backup but I honestly hope I get accepted into MCC's program I don't think I'd like living in Temple lol

Ok so its just common sense stuff. So do we have to have a specific grade for it ? I didnt see anything about it on the nursing page so I was just wondering. And ya Temple is my back up as well. I didnt really like the town either. Thanks and Im retaking it in May. I wonder how long it takes for them to make a final decision on who gets accepted.

Na there's no specific grade they're asking for.

They said we will know by the first or second week of June as to whether or not we got in. We will hear back from Temple before we hear back from McLennan.

Well good luck on your HESI and on getting accepted (I don't think we have anything to worry about) but

I guess keep me posted, and I'll do the same

omg I just realized something.... Were we allowed to use a calculator for the hesi test in temple ?! 0.0 Because we are allowed to use one in waco.....

Na we weren't allowed to use one in temple, but they allow it at MCC. There's like a built in calculator on the testing website they let you use

I retook my hesi and turned in my nursing app Tuesday! I ended up with a overall 89 for the hesi but I'll take that lol. I wish we could hurry up and know if we get accepted or not ! :)

Ahhh bummer. I got accepted into Temple's program but Mclennn's is the one I really want and we already are having to say if we accept the spot or not for Temple.
