MCG Nursing Summer 2009 Augusta Campus

I just got accepted into the Summer 2009 nursing program at MCG. Is there anyone else attending MCG this summer for nursing?

I replied to your other post, but figured id move over to this one. I was offered guaranteed acceptance to the Augusta campus and waitlist for Athens campus. So I choose the Augusta campus. There are a few other girls on here that were accepted too!!

I know exactly how you feel! I don't know anyone who is going either. Im not even sure where I am going to live. Im actually going there tomorrow to tour the school and try to figure some things out. Do you know where your staying yet, or are you already local? Do you know where a majority of the other nursing students stay?

I'm thinking about staying at the College Stations which is a student housing complex on Wrightsboro road.

Oh ok. Thats the one by ASU, right? I was in Augusta on Tuesday and we stopped by that one. Have you gone to look at it yet? I have been looking all over. Im so worried about where im going to live, since some parts of town are not the best. If I don't live on campus my family wants me to live in a gated community, but they are just so expensive! So im trying to find some places that are affordable but gated.

I also was offered a spot in Augusta or Athens waiting list and chose Augusta. I have heard that a lot of people live in Century Glen Apartments!

Yes it the apartments by ASU. I have taken a tour and its okay. You have to have roommates too. And its completely furnished. But I dont know of any other apartments in Augusta.

Hi lbnurse!! Ive heard a lot live in Century Geln as well. I looked there but it's $1,000 a month. So id have to find a roommate to live there. Its really nice though!

afgayle2011 thats good that youve already toured it. At least there wont be any surprises for you!

I went on a tour of the nursing school today! It was so nice to see everything they offered! We got to see the simulation labs and its really awesome! I can't wait to start this summer!

Yeah its actually $1045 for a two bedroom. Its like $900 for a one bedroom.
