Hi everyone!
I was just called today to schedule a phone interview next week for MCCG's RN residency in the Neuro ICU, but for some reason I can't find ANY information about the residency itself, even on the hospital's website. Has anyone heard about this residency or has anyone actually been a part of it? I would really appreciate any information!

I noticed that you previously interviewed for the Duke University hospital residency program and did not get an offer. I just drove to Duke as well, from Maryland stayed overnight to shadow and then the open house/tour/interview. Long story short.....Rejected:(. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised because it seemed like most of the candidates were very young....20s, hadn't graduated yet or taken the boards. I felt like they were looking for a specific type and I didn't see much diversity as far as applicants. I felt very awkward and out of place walking into the recruitment office to find a room full of applicants that consisted pretty much of 20-30 year old white, blond females with perfect hair/makeup and clothing. It reminded me of a southern beauty contest! Don't get me wrong, everyone was very nice, but it didn't exactly make me feel accepted.
Although it probably wouldn't have been the right fit, it still hurts so much to be rejected AGAIN! Have things improved for you? Do you have any suggestions where I might have better luck? I am open to other areas including SC, GA, and FL. Hope things are going much better for you!
