Mayo Clinic Student Nurse Extern Summer 2020

Hello! I wanted to create this thread specifically for those applying to the Mayo Clinic Student Nurse Summer Externship in Arizona. I have yet to see the application for Arizona so I called HR and I was told to email [email protected] to figure out what's going on because HR could not find information about it either ? Hopefully I hear back soon and we can get this application process started!

That’s so discouraging! Realistically things with Covid-19 aren’t going to be better by May...but I really hope they don’t cancel and utilize us as an asset to help them! If anything I hope the most severe they do is just postpone. I also applied and interviewed for the program with Northwestern and I’m pretty sure they’re cancelling their program :( I’m in the same boat as you! I’m very thankful I did my MedSurg2 rotation first this semester, but I miss out on my OB rotation which sucks. I am also at NAU too for my BSN with MCC! :)

I just called the hotline for Mayo Summer extern and they updated the recorded message and said they would be sending out acceptance emails the next week and the following week after everyone accepts they will be sending declined emails to those who were not selected. It also said they still plan on continuing the program!

It says the dates. Then says at this time that they are still planning on doing the program all interviews completed all offers go out in the next week and then emails via the portal go out if you weren't selected. It didn't say how they plan on sending offers on the automated thing. You can all and listen to it yourself if you want but I don't think the mentioned how they would send the offers. The # is 480-342-0850. It's automated so I called like three times to re-listen and make sure I heard right LOL.

I was told during the interview that they call if you got it and email if you did not so we’ll see! :)

Same! I keep on obsessively checking my phone ?‍♀️I figured if they were to call it would be earlier in the day? I know one girl from my school who applied too and she hasn't heard anything yet either.

when they called to schedule my interview I got it at like 3pm on a Monday so maybe around there? LOL, or later this week ? I dont think anyone from my class applied but IDK!

That is actually good news! It gives me hope anyway LOL. They got ahold of me around 9:45am on a Wednesday for mine so I was thinking it was going to stick to that timeframe! ? I hope we hear back today; fingers crossed and good luck guys! ??

I keep checking and checking, but I got my interview call like a day later than everyone else and it was late in the day so hopefully they just haven't started calling yet. I assumed it would be today since people have to have time to accept, before they send emails to people saying they didn't get it next week but who knows. Guess we all just have to play the waiting game and hope for the best! Good luck to everyone ? if anyone hears anything let us know.
