2017 Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency

Published

Hello, I applied for the Mayo Clinic nurse residency program March 17th 2017 and interviewed April 14th that is scheduled to start July 24th. I was wondering if anyone has received any job offers yet? When I interviewed they said they had a few more weeks of interviewing to go before offers would be sent out by the HR department. Past feeds have a time line of receiving offers around May 6th. There is currently no news feeds going for this timeline, so I figured I'd start one.

thank you all,

Jennie ;)

She told me. And then I started jumping up and down and screaming like an idiot. :roflmao: Now we just have to wait for the HR email with all the information.

I just got the call! I'll be working nights on 5W (Neuro/ENT/Plastics)!! I'm so excited to be working with all of you.

Yay!! Congratulations

Got the call yesterday!!!!! She said an email will go out to us nest week asking for information about previous jobs, background, drug testing and physical. Super excited and happy for all of us!!! Does anyone know how many spots they where filling for this round?

Let me know how it continues to go for all of you and I'll post updates as I get info from them ;)

alright! congratulations Jen!!

I know that there were over 300 applications. Which unit/shift will you be on JeniV?

3E – Medical/Surgical focusing on orthopedics, urology and acute rehab which was my first choice on nights :)

hey, someone should make a group FB page like last semesters co-hort :)

HR called last Friday with soft offer saying we would be getting emails this week about background and employment verification. Has anyone started receiving these and is the employment verification just the e-verify thing? Just curious as I'm trying to figure out times for driving from MI to AZ. Thank you

I received an email May 1st at the end of the day. It said I had 24 hours to start background and 72 hours to contact occupational health. I think when I actually saw it I had maybe 2 hours left from the 24 hours. Check emails regularly.

Now I am freaking out more than I did before the offer. I keep thinking it will all be taken away. It doesn't help that I still have to take the NCLEX. I have never had test anxiety....I have a few more weeks before I test and I am already edgy. :nailbiting: Ugh. I don't think any of this will be real until I have my name badge with RN behind my name.

Sorry...I forgot to answer part of your question. The employment verification is names of employers and addresses for past 7 years and school information.

You will pass!!! Ok. Remember. There is a lot of priorities involved. Who do you treat first. Mine had a lot of psychological and OB questions. They were almost all select more than 1. Follow your ABC's and add S for safety. It's all about safety!!!!!!! And the most important thing I can tell you is that PAIN is psychological not physical!!!! If there is an answer that says pain or call the doctor you can rule those out 99% of the time. I hope this helps!!!!! Good luck!!! You got this!!!!
