MAYO CLINIC JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA RN RESIDENCY Summer 2021

Hi Everyone! I saw threads for MN and AZ residency programs but now for Florida.  I applied for the Acute Inpatient Nurse Residency Program at Mayo Clinic for the Perioperative Nursing on 3/6/21 in Jacksonville, Florida.  My application is still in review and I have not heard anything.  I was wondering if anyone has heard back from Mayo Clinic (FL) and how long did it take to hear back?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi, I applied for the critical care nurse residency program at Mayo in Jacksonville around the same time you applied, and I just heard something late last week. I believe you will hear something soon!

Best of luck ?

Thank you, you too!!

Hi, I had my panel interview today. They told me they're wrapping up their interviews today and should expect to hear back from them at the end of this week or early next week.

Hello everyone! I’ll be graduating in December and I’m planning to apply for a nurse residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Does anyone know what units/specialties they have residencies in? Also, is there a specific application?

I am hoping to apply after December graduation as well. Have you heard whether or not they any other hospitals in Jax offer a Winter Residency program? I'm having a hard time finding opportunities in Jax that start earlier then March 2022 that specifically have residency programs. For Mayo, I was told they have acute care, critical care, and periop programs, but you can apply to any open position and role into a residency.

Hey! I will be graduating in December as well, however I accepted a residency program at the main Mayo location in Rochester. I was originally going to start my career at the Mayo in Jacksonville so I kind of know how it goes there as well! You can literally apply to any open position as a new grad for both Jacksonville and Rochester. Arizona's residency is a bit different, but I don't know the specifics on theirs. I was a bit confused with Jax's application process at first, but here's what I found out: they have "residency positions" that open up on their career site but also just regular RN positions as well. My understanding is that you can apply to either. For example, you want to work in Surgical ICU and they have an opening for a SICU RN position, as well as "critical care nurse residency" you can apply to both or one or the other. One thing about Mayo though, is that you cannot have 2 interviews at the same hospital at one time. Not exactly sure why this is. I was a Summer nurse intern at the Rochester location, so that is where I got my info from. Any other questions feel free to ask ?
