Has anyone applied to the New Graduate Nurse Residency at Valley for May, 2013 class?

@pa1421 it’s been a few years but I remember they asked me about my experiences as a Nursing assistant, what I would do/how I would handle certain situations, what I liked to do for fun, they asked why they should choose me. Be honest and be yourself. I told them I ask a lot of questions (which I do) and I was interested in their HCAHP Scores. They liked that. Ultimately I was offered the spot but I turned it down- valleys values and culture were not consistent with mine. Be very sure you want to work for Valley before accepting as I believe they still make you sign a 2 year contract with them otherwise they expect reimbursement for their training which to me, is WILD. Thank you for your speedy response, I really appreciate your feedback! I am graduating with a BSN in a few weeks. Do you know any other new grad programs/nurse residencies in the New Jersey area/Manhattan area? Thank you!

@pa1421Hi! I noticed you had an interview with Valley for the nurse residency! I recently applied and was wondering if you remember how the interview process went and the wait time/process for hearing back regarding an interview! Thank you ?

HI! I applied but unfortunately was not chosen to interview ?not sure if you did or not but I have a forum on my page where I know someone commented that they got an interview if you want to connect with them!
