math requirements

i'm currently a student persuing my bsn but my main goal is anesthesia. i can't get a clear answer from my advisors on this topic. in order to get my bsn, i have statistics and college algebra so far. will i need more advanced math such as calculus or trigonometry for anesthesia?

Would depend on the program you are looking at. My program only requires Stats and Algebra.

Nope. That should be it. I had to take statistics and that was it.

I'm not even in an RN program yet (should be by next fall though ::stoked::), but I have researched a lot of the CRNA degree program requirements, and quite a few of them say that you need to take Physics. And for most university-level Physics classes I've looked at in my state, you need Calculus I (the real Calculus, not that weak and sickly "Brief Survey of" class) under your belt before you can sign up for Physics. Since I'm actually wanting to go on to become a CRNA someday, I've already taken Calc I (got an A in it :) ) so that I can get it out of the way to take that Physics course later on down the road. Also, this is probably just my lack of knowledge here, but don't most programs want a high level statistics course before you can apply? Most of the upper level stats courses seem to have Calc II as a prereq, and because of that I decided to go on ahead and sign up for Calc II next semester. Is needing Calc II actually an incorrect conclusion made on my behalf? I mean, don't get me wrong. Calc I was pretty cool, so I'll be taking Calc II either way just to see what it's like. However, when I talk about the degree program with other people and relay the information that I've collected, I want it to be an accurate portrayal of what's actually necessary to get into a CRNA program as far as prereqs are concerned. So, again, are the high level stats courses that have Calc II as the prereq not actually required for most programs?

Nope. Intro to stats works.

I was just accepted to a program in my city and I literally took intro to college math and basic stats. But it depends where you apply. They look for great experience and a great gpa so keep up the good grades and stay motivated they notice.
