Math requirement for RN to BSN program

Students Excelsior

Published

Does anyone know what math course is needed for the Excelsior RN to BSN? I am scheduled for Excelsior's -MAT 101 Mathematics for Everyday Life- but I don't think that will fulfill the BSN requirement. I am bridging to RN as of now, but I plan on continuing to BSN and I am trying to take courses/exams that will work for both.

-Thanks in advance

I'm doing Statistics for the ASN which is also a requirement for the BSN and is a prerequisite for the BSN nursing courses.

Thank you Medic85907! How difficult would you say statistics is? What level of math background do I need to understand it?

I did EC's Statistics for healthcare workers, it's the 3 credit online course. There are some exams that will also meet the requirements. I thought it was pretty challenging (no math for 20 years). In spite of EC saying there is no math prerequisite for this course, I'd say if you don't have at least decent background in high school algebra, you'll be hurting bad.

Will the 8 week online stats course work or does it have to be the 15 week online course?

The 8 week course is new and the same, just accelerated.
