Maternity/Pediatrics Questions

Hi everyone! I am supposed to take the NCLEX in three weeks (if I don't chicken out and reschedule again) and I was just wondering how much maternity/pediatrics questions were on the exam. I just really need to know where to focus my study time, because I work a full time job outside the home, I have about 3 companies that I work for from home, and I have four children. Needless to say, study time is almost non-existent. I have the LaCharity book, Saunders book/CD, and the Hurst review. I try to repeat the Hurst lectures at night while I'm lying in bed. That seems to be the only time I have to study, but by then I'm so exhausted that I fall asleep within 10 minutes. I need lots and lots of prayers to pass this thing. I definitely don't have the $200+ it will take to repeat it.

Thanks!

Nclex test questions vary from person to person. I had plenty of med/math questions whereas my friends got very few. I believe the Saunders book has the breakdown of topics included in the Nclex. NCSBN should have question breakdowns as well in one of their downloadable PDFs about the nclex.

I agree with the above post. The test is so different for everyone. I had a few maternity and barely any ped's. Some of my friends had the opposite. It's hard to say, the questions are so random, I don't think you could actually study everything.

I had very few maternity/Peds questions but I have a friend who had a TON. I know that doesn't answer your question but everyone's test is different. Try to do questions and focus where you struggle, not where you're strong. Good luck!
