I wanted to start a post for anyone interested in the University of Minnesota's Master of Nursing program, 2017 cohort. I just submitted my application and wanted to have a space where we can discuss the process, ask questions, or just nerd out about nursing!!
I am so excited to see what happens this spring and wish all of you the best!

how are you feeling about the application process so far?
What past or current experiences are you excited to offer the 2017 cohort?
How long did NursingCAS take to verify your application after submission, and have you experienced any issues with the system?

I just popped in to see what happened for you all! I'm sorry to hear that not everyone got an interview, but I'm sure you'll all be great nurses eventually! Hi Everyone! So excited to start this Fall, and I put my deposit down last week. Has anyone gotten more information yet about setting up a student account? I haven't and I'm perpetually nervous that I accidentally put in a wrong nursingcas ID number or something. hahah. Excited to meet you all!
Hi - I haven't heard anything yet. I'm wondering if they'll wait until after the April 15 deadline, then send a message to everyone who has enrolled...looking forward to meeting you this fall!
Hello everyone! I'm so glad I found this thread. I was accepted into the UofM and will be in the 2017 fall cohort. Very exciting to meet others! Kme77 I will also be moving from a warm state (CA) and am dreading it but also determined to make the best of if and even enjoy winter (is that possible?! Haha). I went to high school in Minnesota (Rochester) but have lived in California for 7 years. I went to undergrad out here and studied human biology. After graduating I volunteered in Ecuador for a few months then moved back to San Francisco and have been in social services ever since. My boyfriend was born and raised in Wisconsin so he's excited to be closer to home and I'm also so happy to be close to my family again. I am really hoping to meet new friends in our cohort because I really don't know anyone in the twin cities! Hopefully soon there will be a Facebook group. Can't wait to see everyone!

I'm glad I won't be the only one who's not used to the winters! :) I also am looking forward to meeting people - I don't really know anyone in the Twin Cities either. It would be great to have a facebook group...I wonder if they would start that for us? Looking forward to meeting you in a few months!
