Hi, Eric

I'm from Hong Kong too but live in New York City, NY for the past 20+ yrs. I love Hong Kong and visit there every 2 years with my husband (my in-law still live there). Just curious why do you want to do your master in nursing in Hong Kong? Do you plan to work there afterward? If you are, I hear the nursing salary is extremely low in HK compares to US and Canada plus their living standard is very expensive.

Just my 2 cents!

I am living in hong kong and just went to find out about enrolling in the BSN program at HKU and you must speak chinese (cantonese preferred) to enroll in the nursing program. HKU is an English speaking university, but if you can't access your patients then how can you nurse. Any one about 40-45 or younger here speaks at least SOME English, most pretty well. I was here for over a week before I encountered anyone who didnt speak english. But since so many of the pt's are elderly you must speak cantonese and/or mandarin.
